🍰 Bake a shame cake and eat it

I went live on IG yesterday with my long time teacher and friend, Amy Sigil. If you've ever spent time with both of us you know that things get personal really fast whenever we are chatting. 😆

We talked about our current secret obsessions, our super special relationship, and the magic we’ve created together over the last 18 years (including that one time we baked a cake and poured ice water on one another to transmute our shame and build our resilience)!

If you are in need of a heart-warming connective 30 minutes and some inspiration for creating personally meaningful rituals: go watch our discussion. (And if you live near Sacramento: come dance with us in person this Sunday! Info at the bottom of this post.)

❓I'm curious to know: do you have any special relationships like this in your dance life?

A collaborator, friend, or mentor who you can be your 100% authentic self with? Someone you can always call if you need advice, a pep talk or a reminder of who you are and where you came from?

If your answer is "no" -it's not too late to start forming these nourishing dance relationships! Just going to a local class or show is a great way to start meeting people who could become your enduring dance friends.

🫶 My desire to curate a space where dancers can find these life-long creative partnerships is one of the reasons I started my online group coaching program. The Cohesion Collective is a great place to meet like-minded dedicated dancers who want to learn a shared movement vocabulary that you can perform together! We dance, drum, and play finger cymbals together every week and we talk with one another about all the creative questions and ideas we have.

I invite you to learn more about the program by taking just two minutes to apply. There is no obligation to join and once accepted, you will get access to a free private training with me!

I am wishing you deeply connective creative relationships! And I hope to be one of those people in your life!

Warmly,
April Rose 🌹
