Students are welcome to embark on both tracks simultaneously and they are invited to move chronologically through the levels. ….Plus we have:
Rose Studio Jam!
Each class includes a detailed break-down of bellydance fundamentals. Week 1: posture & isolation, Week 2: circles, Week 3: various shimmies, Week 4: undulations, Week 5: figure eights, Week 6: various turns…continue until Week 8! Practice traveling in space with all these basics and take home a simple drill combo each week for your individual practice. Technique is relevant to all styles of bellydance. If you are a beginner THIS is your entry point into bellydance. If you have been bellydancing many years but with no formal training THIS is your class.
Students learn a slow ooey-gooey Tribal Fusion dance to a bass-heavy song off ElitrickKids’ new album! Students will have the option to perform this choreography at Rose Movement’s Spring Show / ElitrickKids’ CD Release Party May 3rd. Preferably students have at least one year of dedicated practice prior to joining this class and have also completed April’s Bellydance Level 1 class.
8:35 – 9:35pm
Students will drill advanced bellydance movement and learn an evocative experimental choreography. Students will have the option to perform this choreography at Rose Movement’s Spring Show / ElitrickKids’ CD Release Party at the studio, May 3rd. Preferably students have at least three years of dedicated practice prior to joining this class and have also completed April’s Bellydance Level 1 & 2 classes.
Non-stop aerobic bellydance drills for the newbie and advanced bellydancer. This class will not breakdown details of bellydance technique (for an introduction to bellydance technique please attend Bellydance 1). This class will make you sweat! It does not matter if you are dancing “correctly” it just matters that you stay moving! Advanced layers for advanced dancers, single tasks for brand new dancers: ALL ARE WELCOME.
